All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 2corrected sets of plans.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)Sheet SP-1: Accessible route: Please provide detail to show connection of accessible path of travel connect to the public sidewalk. Provide detail of concrete walkway through the landscape area and provide detectable warning (truncate domes). Details shall be clearly cross-referenced onto the plan. Per Assembly Bill 1732, all single-accommodated restroom shall identify as an “all-gender/unisex” restroom as below:

This image represents the door symbol that is required by CBC 11B-216.8 to identify an all-gender/unisex single-user toilet facility. The symbol must comply with the requirements of CBC 11B-703.7.2.6.3. No pictogram, text, or braille is required on the symbol.Note on plan: Door hardwareEgress doors/gates shall be readily openable from the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort. (1010.1.9)Openable parts of such hardware shall be 34 inches minimum and 44 inches maximum above the finish floor or ground. The force for pushing or pulling open a door shall be 5-lb maximum. Operable parts shall be operable with one hand and shall not require tight grasping, pinching, or twisting of the wrist.
A readily visible durable sign posted on the egress side on or adjacent to the main exit door stating: “THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED WHEN THIS SPACE IS OCCUPIED”, is required. (1010.1.9.4)On the plan, please show sale/service counter. Service counter shall be accessible to persons with disabilities. Show compliance with Section 11B-227.3; 11B-904.4. Display shelves/cases – Please provide minimum 48” clear between display shelves. Sheet A-2: 6”x22” Glulam Beam: Please clarify whether the 6”x22” beam is new and to replaced existing wall to be removed. Provide structural calculation if it’s new. Please clearly show support of 6”x22” Glulam beam. Louvered mechanical screen referenced to sheet A-2 for detail was not applicable. Please coordinate and revise plan accordingly. Sheet A-3 & A-4: Building Section: Referenced to sheet A-2 for the mechanical screen was not applicable. Please revise plan accordingly. Detail C-1: Please specify spacing of required 5/16” fasteners to structural member below. Blockings for mechanical screen support: Please provide detail to show blocking member attachment to existing beams. Sheet A-5: Floor plan and egress plan indicated the double doors “Not Used” – Please coordinate and revise plans accordingly.Ceiling Plan: Please provide a reflected ceiling and provide construction details for new T-bar ceiling.
