The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance: -Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. -Public Works Agency approval (647-5039). - School District Compliance Certificate; and a copy of the school fee work sheet, signed by the plan check engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of the work. Sheet 1. In new addition area, attic access is not required per CRC R807.1 due to low attic vertical clearance.Remove the non-compliant attic access from plan. ENERGY Sheet A-1. Indicate maximum U-factor and maximum SHGC value for new windows and new glazed doors on plan.Show compliance on the 6’x 6’-8” glazed door in the door schedule. Sheet A-1. Revise door schedule to provide specification for door #2. STRUCTURAL Provide calculation to design the new header at the new opening at the existing house opening. Sheet A-3 and structural calculation. The opening between new family room and existing house has been increased to 9.5 feet. Provide and specify the new beam with connection details on the existing house wall on plan.Provide calculation to design that beam and revise framing plan and foundation plan to provide the beam support and connection details. Sheet A-3. Refer to framing plan hip beam (#3) shown on roof framing plan. Please verify if the 2x8 hip is capable to support the concrete tiles with 10.5 feet beam span. Sheet A-3. Remove the note “EXISTING HOUSE TO REMAIN NOT A PART”. Sheet A-3. Clarify the number on the windows and doors on the “existing floor plan”. No windows and doors change out in the existing building under this permit. When provide schedules, identify with (E) as existing or (N) as new on each window and door. Structural plans and calculations shall be stamped, signed, dated by the engineer in record. All structural comments shall be responded by the engineer of record. END OF COMMENTS
