All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Please return marked up set of drawings with corrections.All drawings and supporting documents shall be prepared, stamped and signed by a California licensed architect or registered civil engineer. (CBC Sections A106.1 and A106.3.4.1,)Include address and telephone number of the responsible designer, and date of signing of drawings.This review does not include mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler system, or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. - Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.

Doors in any position shall not reduce the required width by more than one-half. Provide egress analysis for the entire story including all occupant loads for all suites to justify the door encroachment. As an option, design recessed doors to avoid door swings into the existing corridor. (1005.7.1)The exit signs shall be readily visible from any direction of egress travel and clearly indicate the direction of egress travel. (CBC 1013)Note on plans: “Egress doors shall be readily openable from the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort.”Note the following on the plans: “The means of egress, including the exit discharge, will be illuminated to a level of not less than one foot-candle at the walking surface at all times the building space served by the means of egress is occupied”Note on the plans: “Exit signs shall be internally or externally illuminated at all times. Externally illuminated exit signs shall be connected to an emergency power system (batteries, unit equipment or an on-site generator) that will automatically illuminate the exit signs for a duration of not less than 90 minutes in case of primary power loss.”Doors equipped with a key operated locking device shall have a readily visible, durable sign posted on the egress side adjacent to the door stating: THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED WHEN BUILDING IS OCCUPIED. The sign shall have one-inch high letters on a contrasting background. E.g. door #200.ACCESSIBILITYShow detailed information, including dimensions, on existing accessible parking to verify conformance with the current requirements (along the accessible path of travel) (CBC 11B-502, 11B-405, 11B-603 through 11B-606.7)Sheet A5.1. Detail 19 and 20. Revise mounting height for wall-mounted signage. Tactile characters on signs shall be located 48 inches minimum above the finish floor or ground surface, measured from the baseline of the lowest Braille cells and 60 inches maximum above the finish floor or ground surface, measured from the baseline of the highest line of raised characters.
