If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 3corrected sets of plans.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.

- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)Sheet CO: Project Description/Scope of work: Please revise scope of work to include the new addition of the mezzanine. Mezzanine floor area of 2740 sq.ft. – the 2740 sq.ft. did not reflect with the floor plan. Please coordinate and revise the square footage accordingly. Building Data: Occupancy – Please include the occupancy group B for the office areas. Building Data: Building Height – It’s single story building with a proposed mezzanine. Please revise building height to show 1-story. Occupant load calculation: Please use occupant load factor of 150 for the office use areas. On the plan, please specify applicable codes for the proposed project. Sheet A0: Building Data: Please include occupant group B for the office use.Occupant load calculation – please use occupant load of 150 for the office use spaces. Applicable Codes: Please update applicable code edition to (2022). On the plan, please provide/show an accessible route from the public sidewalk to the building accessible entrance. Accessible route shall be 5% maximum slope, measured in the direction of travel, 2% cross-slope maximum, 48” minimum width. On the plan, please show/provide detectable warning (truncated dome) where required. (11B-247.1.2)Exit doorways open to the rear parking area – Exit shall continue to the public right of way. Please provide/show pedestrian gate to give access to the public right of way. Provide gate and gate hardware information. Sheet A3: On the plan, please show/provide wall legend to show existing wall and new wall. Provide construction details for new wall. Detail shall be clearly cross-referenced onto the plan. On the plan, please show/provide occupant load calculation for each room/space for each use. Doors serving spaces with more than 49 occupants shall be swinging in the direction of travel (egress). On the plan, please show maximum common path of travel distance.Please provide enlarge restroom plans to show restroom accessible to the persons with disability. Show compliance with Chapter 11B, Division 6. Provide section through the stairway to show rise and run, and to show minimum headroom clearance, contrasting stripe. No open riser is allowed. (11B-504)Show stairway handrails. Provide handrails information. Details shall be clearly cross-referenced onto the plan. On the plan, please show door level landings and maneuver spaces on both sides of doors. (11B-404.2.4)Sheet A4: Please provide occupant load calculation for each area. Show travel distance measure to the bottom landing where access to two exits are provided. Mezzanine: Please revise Title Block to specify Mezzanine Level. Mezzanine: Please show mezzanine complying with Section 505. The aggregate area of a mezzanine or mezzanines within a room shall be not greater than one-third of the floor area of that room or space in which they are located. The enclosed portion of a room shall not be included in a determination of the floor area of the room in which the mezzanine is located.A mezzanine shall be open and unobstructed to the room in which such mezzanine is located except for walls not more than 42 inches in height, columns and posts. The Mezzanine or portions thereof are not required to be open to the room in which the mezzanines are located, provided that the mezzanine meet the exception under Section 505.2.3. Restroom shall be accessible to the persons with disabilities. Please show compliance with 11B, Division 6. Provide construction details for new walls. Provide building sections to show new mezzanine floor in relative to existing building. Show ceiling height for the area under the mezzanine and mezzanine above. Reflect Ceiling: Please provide a reflected ceiling showing ceiling finish details and exit signs. Provide details construction for the ceiling and clearly cross-reference details onto the plan. Sheet A6: Roof screen – Please clearly identify whether the roof screen is new or existing. If new, please provide construction details for the roof screen. Sheet CBC-1 through CBC-4:We are not reviewing and approving information provided by City of LA handouts. Please omit/remove standard details handouts and provide specific details applicable to the proposed projects. Details shall be clearly cross-referenced onto the plan. Sheet G1 through G3: Please update information to show applicable information with the 2022 California Green Building Code. Structural Review CommentSheet G1.1: Code Compliance: Please revise notes to reference to the 2022 Code edition. Specific Use Data: Please include the storage area and verify floor area with the floor plan. Revise plans and calculation accordingly. Existing Building Data: Please coordinate with architectural plans and provide complete information accordingly. Structural notes: Please revise notes to reflect with the 2022 CBC and Standards. Sheet G1.2: Please revise notes to reflect with the 2022 CBC and Standards.Sheet S5.4: Stairway Section – Please show solid risers (open risers are not allow). Structural Calculation: General notes and Project Description – Please revise notes to specify ASCE7-16 as applicable design Standard.
