All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.This review does not include mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler system, or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714) 573-6100).

Please explain which item of the ASCE 7-16 Table 12.2 for type VB building to match he existing lateral supporting system, R=6.5? This may reduce the existing lateral support capacity of the building. Update 10% rule justification based on R=6.5. Staple the second part of the structural calculation (24 pages) done by the Promise Energy separately from the first part of caluclaiton done by Vinci associates.The second part of the structural calculation (24 pages) done by the Promise Energy shall: Provide the name, address and telephone number of the responsible structural engineer on the cover page.Be stamped, signed and dated by a California licensed civil or structural engineer on the cover page.Be reviewed and with approval stamp, date and signature by the building structural engineer in record (Vinci associates) on the cover page.Please make all second part of the structural calculation (24 pages) done by the Promise Energy darker and legible.Provide calculation to design # of ballast blocks at each anchor point on all roof array area to support wind and seismic loads.Revise structural plans to show specification of the ballast blocks (e.g. dimensions and weight) and number of blocks required at the rack attachment to roof.Provide calculation to justify detail 2/S-1.0. The Unirac Engineering report is required and provide calculation to check combine loading on the #14x1.25” screws. Structural calculation page 18-24 is not clear.While the attachment is located between roof joists, provide attachment detail in addition to detail 2/S-1.0.For solar racking system and attachment details to building structural design, provide structural framing plan and connection details on the structural drawings with stamp, signature and date by a licensed civil or structural engineer.The building engineer-in-record shall review and approved the racking system and attachment details (e.g. 1, 2/S-1.0) to building structural design. Provide the approval statement, signature and date on those plans by building engineer-in-record.Add note to structural cover sheet to specify the assumed dimensions, grade, species and spacing of the existing roof joists.Provide page number on the last page of the first part of structural calculation done by Vinci associates.The submitted structural design is very limited.
