If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 3corrected sets of plans.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance: - Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100) - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840) - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039) - Grading Permit. Application is made through the Building Safety Division (647-5800) and the plan review is by the Public Works Agency (647-5039) - County of Orange Health Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings ((714)433-6000) - School District Compliance Certificate; a copy of the building permit application, signed by the plan check engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of work. Refer to the attached handout.Sheet T1.0: Building Area: Please verify for the 4 sides of 60-ft yard are available for the unlimited allowable building area. Adjust building area analysis as necessary. 2nd Review Comment: Revised construction type – Exterior wall fire rating is required for wall located less than 30-ft from property line per Table 602; and no protection is required when it’s located 30-ft or more from the property line. Please revise information provided under the Construction Type accordingly. Sheet AS1.0: On the plan, please clearly show all property lines. Identify property line (PL) and street on the plan2nd Review Comment: Where distances between the proposed building and adjacent (surrounding) buildings are less than 40-ft, please show assumed property lines and provide exterior wall protection and allowable wall openings for the proposed building and existing surrounding building. (Table 602 and Table 705.8)A 60-ft year are required on all four (4) sides for unlimited area building. Please coordinate and revise building area analysis accordingly. 2nd Review Comment: exterior walls of the canopies are considered exterior walls of the building – Please specify 2-hour protection for the structural faming members along the exterior wall lines. Provide fire-protection details for structural beams and columns. Details shall be clearly cross-referenced onto the plan. (704.10)Sheet A2.1: Enclosed space canopy outside of Unit 1, Unit 2, Unit 3, Unit 4: A second exit door is required for the enclosed space outside of each suite. Exit doors shall be sized with accumulated occupant loads from the inside + outside spaces. 2nd Review Comment: Exit doors – Please revise door schedule to clearly specify exit doors shall equip with panic hardware. (1010.1.10)Sheet A2.3: On the plan, please specify roofing material for the canopy areas. 2nd Review Comment: Roof note #18, please coordinate with structural plan for the structural roof. Structural plan specified metal deck roofing vs. note #18 and detail 3/A7.0 showed plywood sheathing. Please coordinate and revise plan accordingly. Structural Review Comments: Please remove note “NOT FOR CONSTRUCTION” on all structural plan sheets. Please submit foundation plan and details to the geotechnical engineer for review and approval. The geotechnical engineer shall “review” stamp the plans for conformance with the soil report recommendation. 2nd Review Comment: Reminder – resubmit letter for final approval. Foundation plan indicated “Provide soil improvement by others per geotechnical report to mitigate soil liquefaction” – Please specify method of soil mitigation on the plan. 2nd Review Comment: Please provide soil report addressing the soil liquefaction and method of soil mitigation as stated on the foundation plan. Provide two (2) copies. Sheet S2.1: Roof framing plan – Detail 217 and 218 referenced to sheet S5.1 were not applicable. Please revise detail reference accordingly. 2nd Review Comment:Detail 217 and 218 are provided on sheet S5.2; not on S5.1 as referenced. Please coordinate and revise detail reference accordingly. 2nd Review Comment: Detail 292/S5.1 called out at gridline 6 was not applicable. Please coordinate and revise plan accordingly. 2nd Review Comment: For clarity, please reference detail for roof trusses to wall at gridline B and C (adjacent to the canopies). On the plan, please provide roof specification for the roof diaphragm over the balconies. Provide ICC report number for the metal roof deck. 2nd Review Comment: For clarity, please reference information onto the framing plan. Lateral / Shear wall – Shear walls are required at gridline B to resist the lateral loads from left portion of the building (left of gridline 5). Please revise plan and calculation to show lateral resisting system along line grid line B. 2nd Review Comment: Sheet S1.1 – Please specify shear wall (SW#) for CMU shear wall panels on gridline B. Coordinate with structural calculation. For clarity, please specify wall length for the CMU shear wall panel on the plan. 2nd Review Comment: Please specify wall length for all shear wall panels. Canopy between gridlines 6.4 and 8: Please provide lateral resistance system at wall line A. 2nd Review Comment: Please provide the following: CMU wall at gridline 6.4 (at canopy between line 6 and 7) – Please provide calculation and detail for wall anchorage to roof diaphragm. (ASCE 7-16, Section 12.11)Metal deck diaphragms: the metal deck shall not be used as the continuous ties in the direction perpendicular to the deck span.Cantilever diaphragm: Please provide diaphragm analysis including chord, rotation and deflection.
