- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.

- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)- School District approval (647-5039);

Sheet T24-1. The responsible designer shall sign the responsible person’s declaration statement on page 9 of the NRCC form.
STRUCTURAL
Provide calculation for building seismic response coefficient, Cs. The calculation on page 14 shows Cs=0.0936 appears low. Please provide calculation to verify.
Show building seismic responsive factor R=?
Provide calculation in compliance with 2018 SDPWS 4.2.5to verify Hardy Frame Panel on grid line B.
Provide shear transfer details at the top and bottom interior shear wall on grid line 3. Detail 1/SD2.0, 2/SD2.0 and 10/SD2.0 are for non-bearing partitions, which do not apply to shearwall connections.
On grid B, provide collector design and shear transfer details to transfer the lateral force from roof diaphragm to the Hardy Frame.
Clarify and provide grade beam design to support the HFX18x11 hardyframe where the existing footing occurs. Provide grade beam detail to show construction of the grade beam vs the existing building footing.
Where the detail 1/HFX1 is called out, provide full size of sheet HFX1 attached to the back of the structural submittal package.
Revise detail 9/SD2.0. Clarify the ventilated metal studs location to match architectural section 4/A701 where the studs showing between the portal frames. In addition, show headers in this detail and shear transfer details to have continuous load path from roof diaphragm to the header/collector.
Per calculation page 26, revise detail 1/SD1.0 to show CMU wall vertical rebars are #6 @ 16” o.c..
Design the new bearing wall footing. Specify continuous footing dimensions, embedment depth, and reinforcement on plan on new footings next and parallel to the existing footing on grid line B.
Sheet S-0.10. Design criteria shows Cs = 0.435 and R=2. Clarify and show Cs and R for building and equipment lateral design. Revise them to match calculation.
Perrevised Energy design, add note to plan that solid grout on the exterior CMU wall is required.
Sheet S-0.11. Add note to plan that structural observation is required to verify the structural integrity of the existing diagonal bracing for seismic and wind resistance.Specify sheathing material in detail 5/SD1.0. Provide in-plane bracing for the new CFS stud walls. (Do not refer the in-plane bracing structural design to arch. plan)
Detail 8/SD2.0. Indicate the distance to locate the connector of the end of tension rods to the steel columns, measured to the top of the girder or to the slab.END OF COMMENTS
