CBC Sections A106.1 and A106.3.4.1.All drawings shall be signed by the person who prepared these plans and specifications.Include address and telephone number of the responsible designer, and date of signing of drawings.Please refer to red marks on the drawings for additional plan check comments. Revise drawings to show compliance.This review does not include mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler system, or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance: - Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840). - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039). - County of Orange Health Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings ((714) 433-6000).PLAN CHECK COMMENTSThere is no submission on this plan check. All items noted on this plan check report remainunresolved.This review is only to the (2) rooftop equipment installation. The following scope is in the permit application, but not part of the scope on plans: Walk-in cooler and reach in cooler replacement due to auto damage per Notice to Correct. New walk-in cooler measures 266 sq.ft. Please apply separate building permit, submit plans and design document for plan check. Please contact Building permit staff, David Chavez @ 714-647-5844 for submitting.On first sheet, identify building occupancy group (CBC Ch3) and type of construction (CBC Ch6) and type of fire sprinklered if installed.Show existing building square footage.On the cover sheet, provide a narrative scope of work under this permit incorporated on plan.Provide architectural floor plans showing floor plan layout with scale.Provide a copy of equipment specification including model, dimensions and weight attached to the structural calculation or incorporated into the plan.Provide engineering calculations and structural plans for the support and anchorage of the roof mounted equipment. [ASCE 7-16, Sections 13.1]On the roof plan, provide dimensions to show distance from the edge of the rooftop equipment to the edge of the building. Guards shall be provided where various components that require service are located within 10 feet of a roof edge. The guard shall be constructed so as to prevent the passage of a sphere 21 in diameter and minimum 42 inches height. (1015.6)Structural design, calculation and connection details are required for the guard attached to the roof framing. (CBC Ch. 16).Sheet S-1. The roof framing plan does not match building shown on the site plan, please clarify.Sheet S-1. Show spacing between roof trusses.Sheet S-1. Clarify the added 2x6 spacing. Plan shows 112” o.c.?The submitted calculation shows design for a 2x6 DFL#2 rafters spanning 10 feet with 20 psf DL and 35 psf LL. Please claify:Show beam # and cross-referecing this beam design into the locaiotn on the roof framing paln.Provide loading criteria to justify the 20 psf DL and 35 psf LL including the applied equipment load.Please clearly show the applied load from equipment and point of contact in the calculation.Label all new added rafters.
