Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840) - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)PLAN CHECK COMMENTS:Detail 5, 6, 7 and 8. Cross-reference structural connection details with fasteners specified into the (1) vertical studs to roof framing and concrete slab and (2) diagonal bracing to the vertical studs and roof framing.Clarify the egress path to the new rear door. On the egress plan, identify the use behind the battery rack and the exterior wall. It appears not a retail space and more like stockroom. The exit path through the stockroom in the Group M occupancy shall comply with all of the following:Show a minimum 44” wide demarcated aisle, defined by full- or partial-height fixed walls or similar construction that will maintain the required width and lead directly from the retail area to the exit without obstructions.A steel column encroaches in to the required egress width. Please revise egress design.STRUCTURALStructural plan check response must be provided by the engineer of record. Sheet number and detial number or calculation page number must be clearly indicated where the correction is made.Provide structural engineering design and details for the new exterior door opening located at the rear of the building. Structural plans and calculations shall be stamped, signed and dated by a California licensed architect, Civil or Structural Engineer. Note that this is a Type VB building, justifying the existing lateral support is required due to making the new exterior wall opening.PC2: Not resolved: Provide separate framing and foundation plans with structural connection details.Justify the existing lateral resisting system by the engineer of record is required prior to plan check approval. Provide retrofit design and details on plan if needed.Provide correct project address on the structural calculation cover page. Update design provision to ASCE 7-16, not ASCE 7-10.Provide loading criteria in the structural calculation, including composition of the dead load.Provide structural framing design for new drywall ceiling, restroom, office, vestibules,furred walls, interior partitions and headers between area A and B (red marks on sheet * A1.3), new storefront, structural member connection and details.
