All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 2corrected sets of plans.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)Building 1523: Please transfer the handrails extensions revision delta 3 at the intermediate landings on sheet A.3.2 (see plan submittal dated March 8, 2023) to the final sets of plans. Building 1525: Existing vehicle repair lifts: Existing vehicle lifts installed without building permit – Please provide structural calculation and details for the vehicle lifts. Plan review will continued at time of resubmittal. 2nd Review Comment: Engineering was not provided. Please provide structural calculation, plan and details for the vehicle lifts. 3rd Review Comment: Calculation provided was incomplete. Please design base connection for the overturning forces (at worse case, where the lift is loaded with the maximum loads at the highest point). Enlarged footing and grade beam may be required4th Review Comment: Seismic calculation per ASCE7 per Chapter 13 was not applicable. Please design 2-post carlift anchorage and footing per ASCE7-16, Chapter 15. Please use Nonbuilding Structure Type as “Inverted pendulum type structures” under Table 15.4-2. 5th Review Comment:Structural calculations were not resubmitted and car-lift foundation and detail sheet was not included in the resubmittal set. ***Additional plan check fee may be applied due to incomplete submittals and incomplete response from the engineer of record.
