If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 3corrected sets of plans.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100)
- Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)Sheet CO: Project Description/Scope of work: Please revise scope of work to include the new addition of the mezzanine. 2nd Review Comment: The current design of the mezzanine did not comply with Section 505 of the California Building Code. Please coordinate scope work with final design. See comment 3 under Sheet A4. 3rd Review Comment: Building Data – Please revise information under the Building Data to specify “Proposed Second Floor”. Sheet A0: On the plan, please show/provide detectable warning (truncated dome) where required. (11B-247.1.2)2nd Review Comment: Truncated domes – The truncated dome is not required between the public sidewalk and the proposed walkway. Please remove truncate dome. Truncated dome is required between the concrete walkway and vehicular area (parking area). Revise plan to provide/show truncate dome. Truncated dome is required between the entrance door landing and the vehicular area (parking area). Please revise plan to show truncated dome where is required.3rd Review Comment:Truncated dome located adjacent to the parking access aisle was insufficient. Please relocate the truncated dome just outside the door landing. Please see the marked-up plan for specific location. Exit doorways open to the rear parking area – Exit shall continue to the public right of way. Please provide/show pedestrian gate to give access to the public right of way. Provide gate and gate hardware information. 2nd Review Comment: Pedestrian gate – Please provide the following Show level landing on both side of gate; 48” clear on the push side and 60” on the pull side with 24” clear from the strike edge. 3rd Review Comment: For clarity, please rearrange level landings with the gate opening. 3rd Review Comment: Building Data – Please revise information under the Building Data to specify “Proposed Second Floor”.Sheet A3: On the plan, please show maximum common path of travel distance.2nd Review Comment: Office-5 – The common path of travel from office-5 shall be measured from the furthest point of the occupied area along the walls to the exit door and it shall not be exceeding 75-ft. It appears exceeding the maximum travel distance – Please revise plan accordingly. 3rd Review Comment: Please provide wall at Storage RM-01 to create an egress hallway for office-5. Please see marked-up plan for additional information. Provide section through the stairway to show rise and run, and to show minimum headroom clearance, contrasting stripe. No open riser is allowed. (11B-504)2nd Review Comment: The number of steps showed on the first and second floor did not match. Please provide building section through the stairway to show headroom above the stairway.3rd Review Comment: Stairway section on sheet 7 – For clarity, please clearly show where the section was cut through on the floor plans. A minimum of 6’-8” clear headroom is required above the stairway; it appears that the floor above occurred at the eighth tread of the stairway (see marked-up plan on sheet A7). On the plan, please show door level landings and maneuver spaces on both sides of doors. (11B-404.2.4)2nd Review Comment: Exterior door A at the entry – Please show maneuver space of 60” on the pull side, measured perpendicular to the wall, and 24” clear from door strike edge. 3rd Review Comment: Exterior Doors A (three locations) – For clarity, revise plan to show dimension of 24” clear pass the strike edge (currently shown 18”). Structural Review CommentSheet SW-1: New interior wall, referenced detail 1/SW-2 – Please provide detail to show attachment/connection of new interior partition wall to second floor structural frames. Detail shall be clearly cross-referenced onto the plan. Sheet S1: Special inspection – Please include special inspection required for field welding. Sheet 2: Foundation plan – Footing is required at each supporting columns. Please provide structural calculation and details.On the plan, please clearly show pad footing at each columns. Detail 3/S2 shall be clearly cross-referenced onto the plan. Detail 2/S2 still called out on the plan. Sheet S3: on the plan, please clearly identify location of moment frames for resisting lateral loads, on both directions. Provide calculation for footing supporting moment frames. Design connection and footing for uplift forces. Beam B1: Please provide calculation for steel beam B1 supporting the stairway. Structural Calculation: Page 14 of 44: Please clarify what are the Mverifed and Mmax. Please show how the numbers were derived. Page 16 of 44: Please clarify what are the Pu_verified and Pu_existing.
