Scope of work. Add the following to the scope: “Consolidate the floor under Unit #1100. Unit #1110, #1120 and #1130 will be deactivated.”Sheet A-0.1. Sheet A-0.5C. Complete exit analysis, occupant load calculation and exit width calculation tables on plan.Provide egress analysis and egress plan for the entire floor. Sheet A-0.5C. Portion of the occupiable spaces are reduced to one means of egress by the newly added doors blocking the egress route through reception area. Review and revise design to provide (2) means of egress are required to each exit stairway. (1006, Table 1006.2.1)Building Division 2nd review cycle response:Sheet A-0.5C and A-2.0. The submitted design is not acceptable. However, the door type and swing direction is acceptable as the first submittal. Please update the plans.Sheet A-0.5C. While doors with keycard serving egress routes leading to two separate exit stairways on both direction, demonstrate how doors with keycards are openable from both sides during emergency.Sheet A-0.5C. Note on drawing: “Exit doors shall be openable from the inside without the use of a key or any special knowledge or effort.”Sheet A-0.5C. Exit doors shall swing in the direction of exit travel when serving any hazardous area or when serving an occupant load of 50 or more.Sheet A-0.5C. The exits or exit-access doors shall be placed a distance apart of at least one-third the maximum overall diagonal of area served, measured in a straight line between the doors. Sheet A-0.5C. Tactile exit signs shall be required at the following locations on plan. A tactile exit sign with the words “EXIT ROUTE” shall identify each exit access door from an interior room or area to a corridor or hallway, which is required to have a visual exit sign.Building Division 2nd review cycle response: Sheet A-0.5C.
