All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.This review does not include mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler system, or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714) 573-6100).
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039).PLAN CHECK COMMENTSPlease change the address block for all sheets to include “Buildings A, B and C”Cover sheet. Revise the applicable Codes are: 2022 CBC, 2022 CPC, 2022 CMC, 2022 CEC, 2022 Energy Code, and City of Santa Ana Municipal CodePV sheets were submitted, but no longer on this submittal package. Provide the following on plan:Provide narrative of the scope of work on the first sheet of submitted drawings.Provide site plan.Provide architectural roof plan.While building A and building C are combined into one package, do not use duplicate sheet number (e.g. multiple S1, S2…). Please re-label each sheet and update the sheet index on sheet S1 to list all sheets.Refer to sheet S0, please provide valid phone number of the structural consultant: UniRAC.Refer to roof framing plan, cross-reference each array area from anchor design table to the location on plan. Plans are not clear.On plan, please provide ICC number for Dekfast screws (shown on page 2 of calculation). Please provide ICC report with capacity for #14 Dekfast screws attached to ½” plywood to verify structural anchorage design.All structural plans shall be stamped, signed and dated by the engineer or record by both Vinci Associates AND UniRAC company.Separate the second part of the structural calculation (UniRAC) done by Carlos Alberto Banchik from the first part of calculation done by Vinci associates.On the cover page of the drawings, provide the name, address and telephone number of the responsible structural engineer from UniRAC.The anchorage location for U-2400 shall match the roof array plans on the U-Builder report by Carlos Alberto Banchik, PE. Report and framing plans does not match on building A and C.E.g. sheet S-2. Revise structural plans to show specification of the ballast blocks (e.g. dimensions and weight) and number of blocks required at the rack attachment to roof. Identify on the legend for all anchorage points for different number of blocks. Structural plans (e.g. sheet S2) shall match the calculation. Missing number of blocks on the legend or plans.For all three buildings, revise roof framing plan tocross reference solar rack attachment detailsto the applicable locations. E.g. details 1/S-A.1 and 2/S-A.1 in Building A.Add note to structural cover sheet to specify the maximum span of theexisting roof joistsfor field verification.Provide (2) complete sets for calculations by Vinci and (2) complete sets of calculation by UniRAC. The cover page of them must have project address including building number AND stamp, signature and date of signing by the licensed professional engineers.END OF COMMENTS.
