The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance:
-Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously
approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process.
Plans shall be signed and dated by the designer.
Sheet A0.1: Please provide the following information on the first sheet:
Occupancy groups (R-3 / U)
Type of Construction (V-B)
Existing floor area for each occupancy (Main residence, garage, porches, etc.)
Applicable Codes (2022 California Residential Code (CRC); 2022California Building Code (CBC); 2022 California Mechanical Code (CMC); 2022 California Plumbing Code (CPC); 2022 California Electrical Code (CEC); 2022 California Green Building Code; 2022 California Energy Code)
Sheet A0.1: Side stairway referenced to sheet A2.0 was not applicable. Please revise reference to sheet A1.1.
Sheet A1.0: Please provide handrails for stairway in accordance with Section R311.7.8. Provide details and clearly cross-reference onto the plan.
Sheet A1.1: Revise plan to provide door swing inward; otherwise, provide a landing complying with Section R311.3. (R311.3.2)
Sheet A1.1: Provide handrails for exterior stairway in accordance with Section R311.7.8.
Plans will be used for construction document. Please remove notes indicated “FOR REVIEW ONLY” and “NOT FOR CONSTRUCTION” on the plan.
In addition to Building Safety review comments. Please contact Planning Division for handrailstyle approval, prior to resubmit plans to Building Safety for recheck.
