Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840) - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)- Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) - Submit plans to OCFA may be required. After the building division’s approval, bring an OCFA approved plan to the Building Division counters for prove of OCFA approval.OCFA approval is required for removing or altering existing smoke control system.Submit sheets with delta 2A and delta 2B only. Any sheets without revision from previous approved plans (permit #101113033) shall not be part of the submittal.Sheet 1A-T. Add note to the scope of work: “OCFA approval is required for removing or altering existing smoke control system.”Sheet 1A-T. Provide new narrative of the scope of work for this revision for delta 2A and 2B including clearly description of altering existing smoke control system and what is the proposing smoke control system. The shell drawings are not provided.Sheet 1A-8.1. Door schedule. Door #317A and #317B shall be ¾-hour fire rated, located within the 1-hour fire barrier. (508.4.4.1, Table716.1(2)).Sheet 1A-9.1 through 1A-9.4. Detail 5. Identify mounting height of the shelves within accessible compartments (accessory #13). Shelves shall be located 40 inches (1016 mm) minimum and 48 inches (1219 mm) maximum above the finish floor. (11B-603.4)Sheet 1A-10.1. Identify revision area on plan or remove the sheet which does not apply to this revision.Sheet S2.1 through S2.3. Update interior wall layout on the structural framing plans to match the revised architectural floor plans. If other sheets are not changed from the last approved plans, please do not include them in the submitting package.Smoke alarm system (404.5):Coordinate and clarify the compliance code version on sheet 1A-T. The building approved plans were under 2019, but the engineering judgment report shows 2022 CBC compliance? The report and architectural plans shall be consistent.Sheet 1A-5.3. Provide entire CBC section 404.6 exception 1 code requirements on the atrium elevations on plan and show the proposed glass walls to comply with the code requirements.On the cover page of the engineering judgment report, provide professional stamp, signature and date of the signature by the licensed professional engineer who prepares the report.Theengineering judgment reportmust be reviewed and accepted by the Project Architect with approval stamp and signature.The engineering judgment report and architectural plans shall be approved by the OCFA prior to permit issuance.END OF COMMENTS
