Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100)
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)Second review cycle plan check comments:Sheet T1-0. Update the number of the total racks and indicate type of racks in the scope of work. By calculating the drawings, the revised plan shows (12) not (16) type A racks and (10) type A1 racks. Please clarify and show correct number in the scope of work. Clarify if type B and Type T are part of the scope. Provide number and dimensions in the scope of work.Provide engineering calculation, design and details for type A1 racks.Sheet A2-0. Row 19. Add note to plan: ”The egress route is not allowed to go through underside of the racks or equipment platform”.Sheet A2-0. Clarification. Clarifytype of racks over the tunnel area.Sheet A2-0. If type B or type T racks are not part of scope, remove them from sheet SED.Sheet SED. Provide longitudinal and traverse elevation for rack type A and type A1. Clearly label each elevation on sheet SED.Lower portions of posts exposed to damage by forklift trucks or other moving equipment shall have protective devices. If not so protected, at the option of the building official, the rack structure may: (1) be designed to maintain its full design load capacity at allowable stresses with the exposed post capacity reduced by one-half or (2) be designed to maintain its full design load capacity at 50 percent increased allowable stresses with the exposed post assumed to have no carrying capacity.The engineer responded to provide post protection.
