Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 2corrected sets of plans.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance: - Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840) - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)Please revise plan to show the correct address. Soil reports are required for the proposed signed. Please provide two sets of soil reports. 2nd Review Comment: Submit final foundation plan to the geotechnical engineer of record for review and approval. The geotechnical engineer shall “review” stamp the plan for general conformance with the soil report recommendation. (Soil page 5)Please provide structural calculation/design for the steel column, foundation support, pipe/column connections, etc. Foundation should design in accordance with the soil report recommendation. 2nd Review Comment: Please coordinate and incorporate the following for the foundation design: Please use a factor of safety of 3, per soil report. Please revise foundation plan to show/provide minimum 11-ft deep embedment Please revise foundation plan to show/provide minimum 4-ft diameter footing.Caisson footing: Please revise plan to show/provide minimum steel rebar (reinforcement) for the footing. Provide calculation and detail of framing for the horizontal members supporting the sign cabinets. Design for vertical and lateral loads. 2nd Review Comment: Response was incomplete. Please provide the following: Lateral design (Wind loads): Please provide calculation and moment connection for the 16-ft span sign cabinets. A single through bolt attachment between cabinet and steel pole was insufficient. Vertical design: Provide calculation for the moment connection between the cabinet frame to the vertical pole (column). The cabinet may vertically support at ground level – Please provide additional footing to support the 16-ft span sign cabinet as necessary. On the plan, please specify the thickness of the steel pipe. (End of Comment)
