Business and Professions Code Chapter 3, Division 3, Section 5536.1 (a). This review does not include mechanical, plumbing or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information. The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance: -Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. -Public Works Agency approval (647-5039). - School District Compliance Certificate; and a copy of the building permit application, signed by the plan check engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of the work. PLAN CHECK COMMENTS Energy calculation requires minimum 2x10 floor joists with R-30 insulation between joists at the raised-floor framing. However, structural framing plan has only 2x6 will not fit the insulation. Please revise design. Revise cavity insulation between ceiling joist: R-38 instead of R-30 per Energy calculation. Provide (10) 6x14 vents for the under-floor space ventilation per designer’s calculation on plan. Provide (15) 14”x4” vents per designer’s attic ventilation calculation on plan. (CRC R806.2) STRUCTURAL The “cover page” of the structural calculation shall be stamped and signed by the Registered Design Professional and shall include the date of signing below the stamp. (California Business & Professions Code 5537, 5538, 6737.1, and 6745) We do not find the floor beam hanger “HUTF” in detail 17/SD1 as approved nailer and concrete wall application from manufacturer. Provide Simpson catalog page or ICC report to prove the application is valid or change design. (2) Copies of updated structural calculation are required. City received one copy on this submittal.
