The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance (CHECKED BOXES REQUIRED ONLY):
☒Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process.
☐Public Works Agency approval (647-5039).
☐Fire Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5839 or 647-5700).
☐Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840).
☐School District Approval; and a copy of the school fee worksheet, completed by the plan check engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of the work.
☐Proof of Worker's Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance.
☐Grading Permit. Application is made through the Building Safety Division (647-5800) and the plan review is by the Public Works Agency (647-5039).Comments have been provided on drawing and calculation hard copies in relation to all comments below. Applicant must pick up red marked sets from city prior to resubmittal and return marked up set with resubmittal.DocumentationNew revised grading permit shall be submitted and approved prior to issuance. Please reach out to Ehab Elias (714-647-5627) eelias@santa-ana.org to for coordination and to schedule an appointment for submittal and review.DrawingsSheet S-2Please confirm if new sheet S-2 is to replace sheet S-2 and S-3 of originally approved set. With new Roof Framing Plan being on sheet S-2, it will be used in lieu of originally approved S-2 which was Ceiling Framing Plan. No framing on original sheet will be approved to be used.Provide ceiling beam over header connection/support. Please verify ceiling beam notch allowance at end of beam to roof rafter edge. The city has been finding many ceiling beams taper cut more than code D/4 allowance measured at inside face of support. [R802.7.2]Provide calculation for new ceiling beam with longer length. Detail 2/SD-4 referenced at ceiling beam not found.Verify hip beam KP support. Original S-2 had a beam support, however, if this new S-2 is to be approved, original S-2 may not be utilized.
