All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 2corrected sets of plans.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)Reminder:An application for a permit for any proposed work shall be deemed to have abandoned / expired after 180 days of the date of filing, unless such application has been issued.Sheet A100, Unit N: Stairway at the employee room giving access to the ally – Stair shall comply with chapter 10 for means of egress and Chapter 11B for accessibility. Provide stairway detail, show rise, run, landing and handrails. 2nd Review Comment: Response was incomplete. Stairway leading out from the employee breakroom – Please revise plan to provide minimum 48” level landing on the inside of the doorway and provide handrails with handrail extension; otherwise, remove the door and infill wall, or provide fixed barrier prevent access to the noncompliance stairway.Restrooms: Restrooms shall be accessible to the persons with disabilities. Please provide enlarged restroom plans with all the required dimensions and fixture details. 2nd Review Comment: Response was incomplete. Please provide the following – Restroom floor plans (Detail 1, 2, 3) – please revise plans to provide/show minimum 60” clear floor space for the water closet, and 18” minimum clearance for the vanity measured from the centerline of the fixture to the adjacent wall. (See marked-up plan for clarity)Restroom elevations: Please revise elevations to show location of water closet located at a distance of 17”-18”, measured from the adjacent wall to the centerline of the water closet (19” is noncompliance with the current code).Sheet A100, Unit M: Restroom shall be accessible to the persons with disabilities. Please provide enlarged restroom plan with all the required dimensions and fixture details. 2nd Review Comment: See 2nd Review Comments above for restroom requirement. On the plan, please show landing and maneuver space for all the exterior doors. 2nd Review Comment: Response was incomplete. Please revise plan to provide/show 24” clear from the door strike edge for the exterior doors.
