All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 2corrected sets of plans.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)Sheet T-1: Job addresses: Please coordinate with Fernanda Arias with Planning Division, at 714-667-2792 or farias@santa-ana.org, and provide/list all the addresses for the subject permit applications and scope of works. 2nd Review Comment: Works are occurred on all suites (infill of unpermitted wall openings in fire area separation walls). Please revise information under the “Building Code & Zoning Data” to show the work in all suites. Scope of work: Please coordinate and get clearance from Planning (Fernanda Arias) for the openings between suites. Opening between building suites may not allowed due to the existing fire area separation (60 x 100 unit)2nd Review Comment: Scope of work has changed – Please provide the following: Please revise Scope of Work to include the in-fill of wall openings between suites. Please contact our permit tech service to revise permit application and job description to reflect plans. Sheet A-01: Occupancy groups: Please include the S-2 and F-2. 2nd Review Comment: Under the Occupancy Class – Please revise information to specify Occupancy Group S-2 for warehouse storage. Warehouse space: Maximum travel distance for space with one exit is 100-ft. The travel distance is measured along the wall to the exit doorway. Please provide a second exit for the warehouse area. (Table 1006.2.1)2nd Review Comment: Response was incomplete. Please revise plan to show Exit sign at door leading to the adjacent office 4 and out of office 4 to the lobby area. Also show two (2) egress paths for the warehouse area. Sheet A-3.0: New walls: On the plan, please provide construction details for each wall type and clearly cross-referenced details onto the plan. 2nd Review Comment: Provide the following information for the two-hour fire-rated infilled wall.Wall Legend for the in-fill wall – Please correct typo error to show (2) layers of 5/8” type ‘X’ gyp board. Specify UL/ICC listing number for the two-hour fire-rated wall assembly. Provide detail to show the joint between the existing concrete wall and new infilled metal stud fire-rated wall assembly. Sheet S-1.0: Opening between building suites are not allowed due to existing required area separation (each 60 x 100 unit), per permit record. Plan review of the openings and adjacent suites will continue at time of resubmittal. 2nd Review Comment: For clarity, please revise typo to specify “(2) layers of 5/8” type ‘X’ gyp board”. And, provide UL or ICC report number for the two-hour fire-rated assembly. (End of Comment)
