The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance:
-Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously
approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Fire Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5839 or 647-5700).
-Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840).
-Public Works Agency approval (647-5039).
An application for a permit for any proposed work shall be deemed to have abandoned / expired after 180 days of the date of filing, unless such application has been issued.
Please provide numbering for the plan sheet.
Plans, computations and specifications are required to be prepared and stamped by a California licensed architect or engineer, including the architectural plans.
On the plan, please specify occupancy group (A-3).
Construction type: The construction type of the new addition shall match with existing building type of construction (type V-A).
For a type V-A construction shall comply with Table 601 for fire-resistance rating.
Applicable Codes: The Residential Code is not applicable to the project. Please remove the California Residential Code.
On the plan, please specify the existing Sanctuary building’s building area. The existing building area plus the new addition shall not exceed the allowable area per Chapter 5, CBC.
A minimum 20-ft clear separation between the proposed addition and the adjacent building is required, for not affecting the existing adjacent building.
Maximum area of exterior wall opening shallcomply with Table 705.8.
Please clarify whether the existing building is equipped with fire-sprinkler or not.
On the plan, please clearly specify/identify accessible route from the proposed addition.
On the plan, please provide/show accessible restrooms serving the proposed addition. Provide restroom plans and detail to show compliance with the current accessibility requirement. (11B-Divison 6).
Enlarged floor plan: Please clearly show patio attached to existing building and location of posts.
Plan was incomplete. Plan review will continue at time of resubmittal. The size and location of the proposed patio may be changed. Therefore, structural review has not been commenced.
