All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 2corrected sets of plans.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)Information:An application for a permit for any proposed work shall be deemed to have abandoned / expired after 180 days of the date of filing, unless such application has been issued.Sheet A-0.1: Drawing Index: Please note Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing are under separate review and approval. First Floor: Please indicate location of new suite 190. Second Floor: Please indicate location of new suite 210. Scope of work: Please revise scope of work and building permit applications to include the mechanical roof top units and roof screening, as shown on the structural plans. Provide roof plan to show proposed roof top units and roof screening. Sheet A-0.5A: Please provide/show an accessible route from the public sidewalk and accessible parking to the proposed suite and affected suite 180. Sheet A-0.5B: On the plan, please clearly identify suite number for the proposed improvement. Please show/provide egress plan for all suites located on the second level. The exits shall remain sufficient for all suites on the second floor. The exits shall continue to the exit discharged and to the public right of way. Sheet A-0.5C: On the plan, please clearly identify suite number for the proposed improvement. Please provide/show a complete egress plan for the first floor. Egress plan shall include all means of egress for all the first floor suites and suites above. Sheet A-2.2: Occupancy separation between B and S-2 shall be separated by a minimum one-hour fire-rated wall (Sprinklered building). Please show / provide fire-rated wall between B and S-2 occupancy (file room). Sheet A-3.0, A3.1, A3.2: Power, voice, data and security plans are not part of this plan review and approval. Please note “FOR REFERENCE ONLY”.Structural Review Comment: Provide structural calculation and detail for the wall with clerestory glazing (at the 2nd floor corridor leading to the exit stairway). Details shall be clearly cross-referenced onto the plan. Details on sheet S-7.1 & S-7.2: Please clearly cross-reference details onto the plan. Please clearly reference to sheet S-4.1A for new thicken slab. Please include the storage racks/selves in the scope of work and provide structural calculation and details for anchorages. Otherwise, note “Storage racks/selves are under a separate permit” on slab plan and on the Cover Sheet A-01. Coordinate with the architect of record. (End of Comment)
