All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Please return marked up set of drawings with corrections.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)PlAN CHECK COMMENTSSubmit (2) copies of 8.5”x11” structural calculation. Only one copy is received.Increase the text height and darkness of all details on sheet RM5C. Plans are not clear.Revise Sheet RM5C and sheet RM.5CA:Only structural connection details are needed on the drawings. Label each equipment connection detail with detail number and make cross-reference to the structural mezzanine framing plan to the applicable equipment.It is no need to incorporate some calculation pages on plan. It appears all pages are included in the structural calculation. Sheet RM.5CA can be removed.Provide mezzanine framing plan and foundation plan. Justify with calculation and plans existing framing and foundation of the mezzanine is adequate to support all heavy equipment. Provide structural design on plan if retrofit existing structure is needed. Details on RM5C shows “EOR to confirm joists are adequate to support gravity and seismic loads” is insufficient. You are the EOR. Structural support is part of the equipment anchorage design and is part of this review.Please check and specify if the existing 2x joists are adequate to support the equipment. Show size, spacing and span on plan of the joists as well for field verification.Justify the mezzanine’s existing lateral support due to increased seismic force from the equipment.END OF COMMENTS
