Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. Sheet A-0: City of Santa Ana did not adopt the City of Los Angles Codes and Ordinances, please revise/remove notes specified and referenced to City of Los Angles. Sheet A-0: Structural observation note – Please confirm whether the structural observation is required for this project. Revise notes and information to reflect with the proposed project. Delete/remove information that does not apply to the project. 2nd Review Comment: Please confirm whether the structural observation is required for the proposed works. Please complete all information if Structural Observation is required. 3rd Review Comment: No response provided. If structural observation is not required. Please omit/delete the Structural Observation notes on sheet A-0; otherwise, fill out the requirement information under note #5 and #8. Sheet S-2: Structural details Please revise detail 2 to provide ledger supporting the joist hanger. 2nd Review Comment: Response was incomplete. Detail 2/S-2 showed existing floor joists on the inside and new floor joists for the deck. Please coordinate with framing plan on sheet S-1 and revise detail to match framing plan. Provide ledger to support new deck joists. 3rd Review Comment: Structural detail 2/S-2 and framing plan on sheet S-1 did not match. Detail 2/S-2 showed new floor joists occurred only at the balcony. However, the framing plan indicated new 2-2x floor joists span from the interior through the exterior balcony deck. Please coordinate and revise plans accordingly. If only new deck joists are provided, ledger and lateral support is required. See comment below. Revise detail to provide lateral support for the balcony with positive connection to the main floor diaphragm. 2nd Review Comment: Framing plan and detail 2 did not show floor joists are cantilevered as responded. Please coordinate and revise plans accordingly. 3rd Review Comment: Please coordinate information with comment above. **Additional plan check fee will be required if plan comments are not resolved on the next resubmittal. It is recommended to contact Plan Check engineer prior to plan resubmittal.
