If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 3corrected sets of plans.
The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance:
-Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously
approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process.
-Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840).
- Proof of Worker's Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance.An application for a permit for any proposed work shall be deemed to have abandoned / expired after 180 days of the date of filing, unless such application has been issued.Sheet A-1: Plan shall be drawn to scale. Please specify scale on the plan. Please provide a floor plan for the existing building, including the main house and existing garage. Show walls and wall openings, widows, doors, and specify/label the use of each space. Elevations: The roof lines did not match with the roof plan. Please revise elevations accordingly. Roof plan: Please show roof crickets between the new entry roof and existing garage, and between new entry roof and new Porte-cochere. The Title Block indicated 600 Sq.ft. Porte-cochere – Please coordinate and revise the square footage to match with the proposed 528 sq.ft plus 192 sq.ft. entry porch. Provide architectural finish detail for the carport columns. Provide ICC number for the brick veneer. Provide construction detail for the veneer. Roof framing plan and details: Detail 8/S-1: Detail 8/S-1 was not applicable. Please revise detail to show roof frames are supported by the HSS steel beam. Roof rafter and ceiling are perpendicular to the HSS beam. Framing over the entry porch: Plan show 4x6 posts with knee braces – Please provide section view to show new posts in relative to existing garage wall; relative to HSS beam. Provide detail to show how entry porch roof frames are supported. Detail 5/S-1: Please revise detail to clearly show HSS beam is supporting the roof frames (roof rafter and ceiling joists). Detail shall be clearly cross-referenced onto the plan. Section A/S-1: Please clearly cross-reference section onto the plan. Please clarify whether the 4x6 is full-height post or it supported by the HSS steel beam below. Please specify fasteners for the ceiling ties (nail size and number of nail). There is no wall below the HSS beams. Please revise detail and section to just show HSS beam (do not show wall and wall sheathing). Show ceiling height. Cantilever column: Please use R = 1.25; otherwise, show column design in compliance with special cantilever column per AISC 360-10. Sheet S.1: Details shall be legible. Specify special inspection are required for field welding.
