If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 3corrected sets of plans.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance: - Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100) - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840) - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039) - School District Compliance Certificate; a copy of the building permit application, signed by the plan check engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of work. Refer to the attached handout.Sheet A1.1: Due to the new addition to the existing building, please provide building analysis for building allowable area per Section 506. Site plan: Please show fire separation distance between the new addition and property line. Please show/provide an accessible route from the accessible parking stalls to the building accessible entrances. Provide details and information for the existing ramps to show compliance with Section 11B-405. Show/provide detectable warning where it’s required per Section 11B-247. Show location and details on the plan. Sheet A2.1: On the plan, please Wall Legend for existing wall, wall to be removed, and new wall. Wall between existing and new autoclave enclosure – Please clarify information for wall (is it existing opening to be infilled and provide new window?). Provide wall detail and window schedule. New 8-ft high chain link enclosure – Please provide pedestrian door with openable comply with egress door and accessibility requirement. Door schedule elevation A: Please revise door elevation to show/provide minimum 10” smooth surface at the bottom of door on the push side. On the plan, please provide / show accessible restrooms. Restroom shall comply with Chapter 11B, Division 6. Sheet A2.1E: Existing floor plan: For clarity, please show/provide existing mezzanine floor plan for reference. Sheet A2.2: Please clarify openings between existing areas and new enclosure. For clarity, please do not show wall at new opening. Demo information already showed on the demo/existing plan. New opening: Please clearly show opening dimensions (width and height). Provide detail for new exterior wall, including wall finish and weatherproofing. Please provide a roof plan with roofing information. Sheet A2.3: Detail 3: Stairway construction did not match with structural plan. Please coordinate and revise plan according, including scope work on coversheet. Otherwise, revise structural plan and provide calculation for new steel stairway. Detail 3: Stairway floor plan – Please provide/show handrail extension on both sides of the stairway, at top landing. Detail 3: Please show/provide minimum 36” clear from door strike edge (12” handrail extension + 24” door strike edge = 36”). Structural Review Comment: Sheet S2: Opening with roll-up door: Please provide structural calculation and detail for header supporting roll-up door. New chain-link fence: Please coordinate with revised architectural floor plan and provide structural detail for new interior chain-link wall. New stairway: Please coordinate with architectural plan for stairway construction. Where existing Concrete wall was removed: Please provide lateral analysis to verify the remaining wall for lateral loads. State all assumption. Sheet S3: Wall and window adjacent between the existing building and new enclosure: Please coordinate with architectural plan for new wall opening or existing opening to infill. Foundation plan: Please submit foundation plan and details to the geotechnical engineer for review and approval. The geotechnical engineer shall “review” stamp the plan for conformance with the soil report recommendation. Detail 1/SD1: Please revise detail to specify HSS header “per plan”. Detail 8/SD1: Autoclave shall be supported on a foundation mat with 24” minimum thick on the perimeter per soil report. Please coordinate and revise plan and detail accordingly. Lateral resisting: Please provide/show lateral resisting system for left-to-right direction for the new enclosure. Provide calculation. (End of Comment)
