Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100) - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840) - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039) - Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceSubmit a signed copy of the contract showing labor and materials for all work to be done under the subject building permit application. The plan check engineer may accept the contract price as the valuation of improvements for unique/unusual projects in lieu of using a cost per square foot basis. Clearly indicate age of the children and number of each age group for this building on the drawings.Show on the plans: - Occupancy Classification(s) - Fire Sprinkler System (State purpose of sprinkler system, for example, area increase under CBC Section 506.3, required by CBC Section 903 for type of occupancy, etc.)Automatic fire sprinkler shall be provided per 903.2.6 for I occupancy.There is no record of fire sprinkler system for this building please clarify. Fire partitions shall extend from the top of the foundation or floor/ceiling assembly below to the underside of the floor or roof sheathing, slab or deck above or to the fire-resistance-rated floor/ceiling or roof/ceiling assembly above, and shall be securely attached thereto. Provide dimension of the corridors on the floor plan.Detail S-2, walls cannot be supported by ceiling T-bar.Provide typical section view detail of all new partitions and ceilings showing: - Size, spacing, and material of framing members - Method of attaching framing to the building structure. Compliance shall be shown with CBC Section 1607.13 for lateral support of the walls. Do not support top of walls to suspended ceiling system unless calculations and drawing prepared by a registered engineer are submitted for review. Submit structural engineering calculations for walls in rooms with a floor to building structure above height greater than 14’. - Provide on the drawings details for the lateral support of partitions, rails and similar space dividers less than 5’ 9” in height. - Sheathing material and details of attachment. Note type, size, and spacing of fasteners. - Heights of partition, suspended ceiling, structure above.IF new walls are I-hr fire rated, provide rated door accordingly. ( Including exit doors from the class rooms)Provide on the drawings a complete door schedule, showing:( For existing and new doors) - Door sizes - Hardware complying with exiting and disabled accessibility requirements All doors require a level floor landing on each side in accordance with CBC Sections 1010.1.5, Provide typical door threshold details and details of change in floor covering material. Provide 60’’ landing at door #103A.CBC Sections 11B-303. Regardless of the occupant load, there shall be a floor or landing on each side of a door. The floor or landing shall be not more than ½” lower than the threshold of the doorway. Change in level between ¼” and ½” shall be beveled with a slope no greater than 1:2. Change in level greater than ½” shall be accomplished by means of a ramp. Provide detailed sections and plan views showing compliance at all doorways requiring accessibility.CBC Section 11B404.2.7, Hand-activated door opening hardware shall be centered between 30” and 44” above the floor. Latching and locking doors that are hand activated and which are in a path of travel shall be operable with a single effort by lever-type hardware, by panic bars, push-pull activating bars, or other hardware designed to provide passage without requiring the ability to grasp the opening hardware. Locked exit doors shall operate as above in egress direction.CBC Section 11B-404.2.9 drawings: “Maximum effort to operate doors shall not exceed 5 pounds for exterior doors and interior doors, such pull or push effort being applied at right angles to hinged doors and at the center place of sliding or folding doors. Compensating devices or automatic door operators may be utilized to meet the above standards. When fire doors are required, the maximum effort to operate the door may be increased to the minimum allowable by the appropriate administrative authority, not to exceed 15 pounds. Provide minimum 12” clearance to the strike edge of women’s and men’s bathroom doors and all other doors.Provide width of the truncated domes on the site plan. Provide minimum 12’’ clearance at gate N3 on the site plan.Provide minimum 24’’clearance to the strike edge of gate N3.Provide minimum 36’’ clear path on detail 10/ ADA-1.CBC Section 404.2.10, Required the bottom 10” of all doors except automatic and sliding shall have a smooth uninterrupted surface to allow the door to be opened by a wheelchair footrest without creating a trap or hazardous condition.Show microwave in the kitchen complies with accessibility.Show kitchen sink complies with accessibility.Provide elevation for the kitchen counter and equipment.Identify if the drinking fountain U10is for adults or the children, provide dimension accordingly.Identify which hand sink is for adults and which one is for children and provide dimensions and details accordingly.Tactile exit signs shall be required at the following locations: - Each grade-level exterior exit door shall be identified by a tactile exit with the word “EXIT.” - Each exit door that leads directly to a grade-level exterior exit by means of an exit enclosure, or an exit passageway, shall be identified by a tactile exit sign with the words “EXIT ROUTE.” - Each exit access door from an interior room or area to a corridor or hallway, which is required to have a visual exit sign, shall be identified by a tactile exit sign with the words “EXIT ROUTE.” - Each exit door through a horizontal exit shall be identified by a sign with the words “TO EXIT.”Provide path of travel to the playground.Provide path of travel to the trash enclosure.Drawings submitted to the Building Division for review shall provide the following information to insure compliance with CBC Section 11B-202.4: - An accessible entrance - An accessible route to the altered area - Accessible restrooms - Accessible telephone (if any) - Accessible drinking fountains, and - Parking, signage and alarmsProvide completely dimensioned floor plans, elevations and sections of sanitary facility insuring wheelchair clearances complying with CBC Section 11B-603and 11B-604 and the California Plumbing Code. (For women’s and men’s bathroom)Sanitation facility toilet room floors shall have a smooth, hard, non-absorbent surface such as Portland cement, concrete, ceramic tile or other approved material which extends upward onto the walls at least 6”.
