Sheet A1, Project Information: Currently the existing use of the building is as boarding house / care facility – On the plan, please specify business operation. Is this transient or non-transient boarding house? 2nd Review Comment: Please contact Planning for the land use and obtain/apply for Certificate of Occupancy. Please describe the caring business operation, including what kind of caring service is provided. 2nd Review Comment: Please provide business operation information on the plan. Occupancy group (R-3) appeared not applicable to the permitted use of the building. Please coordinate and revise occupancy group in accordance with Chapter 3. 2nd Review Comment: Response was insufficient. Please revise occupancy in accordance with Chapter 3, CBC. 2nd Review Comment: per Code enforcement officer’s notes, “the land use designation has been changed without the benefit of permits. The property is now being use as a residence and rooms are being rented out individually (long term).” Please obtain approval from Planning. Final plan shall be stamped, signed and dated by a licensed architect or registered civil engineer. Sheet A1: Project Statistic – The basement floor is a nonhabitable / non-living space. Please revise information to specify existing non-habitable space (mechanical storage space). Sheet A2: Exterior stairway - Please revise first floor plan to show stair go “UP”; not “DN”. Sheet A2: Replaced Windows at the main building shall meet energy efficiency in accordance with the California Energy Code. Please specify U-factor and SHGC for the replaced windows.
