The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following after obtaining approval from Building and Safety Division, prior to building permit issuance (CHECKED BOXES REQUIRED ONLY): ☒Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. ☒Public Works Agency approval (647-5039). ☐Fire Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5839 or 647-5700). ☐Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840). ☐School District Approval; and a copy of the school fee worksheet, completed by the plan check engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of the work. ☐Proof of Worker's Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance. ☐Grading Permit. Application is made through the Building Safety Division (647-5800) and the plan review is by the Public Works Agency (647-5039).Comments have been provided on drawing and calculation hard copies in relation to all comments below. Applicant must pick up red marked sets from city prior to resubmittal and return marked up set with resubmittal.DrawingsSheet T-1Project description shall be revised to including legalizing demising wall removal as well as unpermitted bathroom work. Description shall be detailed to work to be legalized.Revise rooftop equipment scope of work to new rooftop equipment. Sheet A-1Specify if demising wall that was removed without permit is a bearing wall or non-load bearing wall. Engineer shall determine if any load bearing occurred and if there is any further construction done to support load bearing as needed. If any indication of existing bearing occurred with no proper new support, project will be stopped.PC #2: EOR to specify on structural plans where existing wall removed that wall is non-bearing, non-shear wall removed.Applicant to specify any work done in bathrooms without a permit to be legalized as new. This includes fixtures, walls, or ADA upgrades that were completed without permit.Sheet S2Detail 1 – Provide anchor calculations and detailing for new equipment curb to new platform.Detail 1 – Platform waterproofing shall be provided and detailed by arch or engineer prior to approval. Provide detail for new (2)2x to existing steel girder connection. CalculationsVerify existing steel beam calculated span. It is unclear where bearing support occurs on drawings. It shall be noted on drawings, else steel beam shall be designed for full length. Verify Detail Report provided for steel beam. Length does not match specified length on isometric view. Verify maximum moment location specified in Detail Report for existing steel beam.Additional PC #2 CommentsSheet T-1Provide path of travel from accessible parking to building. There shall be a complete code compliant path from parking to an accessible entrance to the building. Justify/verify existing parking spot on right side of access aisle. Path of travel from spot may not go behind another parking spot.Upon further investigation, there looks to be a gate at the rear adjacent to parking lot. Applicant shall verify gate, there is no permit record found for this gate installation. Provide existing permit information, else gate shall be permitted. Gate shall also be in consideration with path of travel.Specify existing property line between 1313/1315 N Main and 1316 N Bush St on Site Plan. Sheet A-1Specify (E) 1-hour fire door between existing office area and existing storage/garage per Permit #10134349 on floor plan.(End of Comment)
