The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance: -Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. -Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840). Plan shall be legible. Please increase font size and upsize the scale to the next larger scale. Provide detail for stairway riser and tread. Show dimensions. (1011.5.2) Outdoor stairways and deck shall be designed so that water will not accumulate on walking surfaces. Provide barrier under the stairway. A barrier shall be provided where the vertical clearance above a circulation path is less than 80 inches high above the finished floor. The leading edge of such a barrier shall be located 27 inches maximum above the finished floor. Provide/show handrails on both sides of stairway. Provide detail to show handrail height (34”-38”); guardrail shall be 42”, and handrail extension at top and bottom of each stairway flight. Provide structural framing plan for the deck and stairway way repair. Show existing and new deck framing, including deck joists and posts New plywood-decking specification (thickness and nailing). Show existing and new stringers Provide structural details for connection and attachment. Structural calculation: Please check existing stairway, deck frame and its support for 100 psf live load. Provide lateral support for the existing stairway and deck. (End of Comment)
