Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100) - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840) - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039) - Orange County Sanitation District (714) 593-5756Sheet A-102. Detail 4 and detail 5. Design and specify anchor bolt and connection hardware at the top and bottom of the non-load bearing partitions to support lateral in-plane and out-of-plane force. (CBC Ch16).Sheet A-101. Indicate the space between the new partition and existing exterior wall behind door #105. This door leading to electrical panel shall have landings on both side of the door complying with CBC section 1010.1 for dimensions (44” minimum in the direction of travel) and slope. Based on the use of the space, the door may be required to be accessible with maneuvering space. Please revise plan and provide more details on plan.Fill out the disable access compliance form and incorporate it on the drawings. Clarify in the form and on plan if the existing accessible path of travel fully or partially complies with 2022 CBC and show if any proposed design, detail and location of improvement in compliance with accessibility requirements along the accessible path of travel in accordance with CBC Section 11B-202. Note: Return the filled form at the next plan check submittal.Show detailed information, including dimensions, on existing accessible parking to verify conformance with the current requirements. (CBC 11B-502, 11B-405)Sheet A-101. Provide dimensions on plan to show location of each accessible water closet and lavatory.Sheet A-102. Show hardware type and mounting height on the accessible door elevations.Handles, pulls, latches, locks, and other operable parts on doors and gates shall comply with 11B-309.4 Operation. Operable parts of such hardware shall be 34 inches minimum and 44 inches maximum above the finish floor or ground. Where sliding doors are in the fully open position, operating hardware shall be exposed and usable from both sides. §11B-404.2.7Sheet A-102. Provide door elevations on each accessible door.Swinging door and gate surfaces within 10 inches of the finish floor or ground measured vertically shall have a smooth surface on the push side extending the full width of the door or gate. Parts creating horizontal or vertical joints in these surfaces shall be within 1/16 inch of the same plane as the other and be free of sharp or abrasive edges. Cavities created by added kick plates shall be capped. §11B-404.2.10Sheet A-102. Add note to the door schedule. The force for pushing or pulling open a door or gate other than fire doors shall be as follows: §11B-404.2.9Interior hinged doors and gates: 5 pounds maximum.Sliding or folding doors: 5 pounds maximum.Required fire doors: the minimum opening force allowable by the appropriate administrative authority, not to exceed 15 pounds.Exterior hinged doors: 5 pounds maximum.Sheet A-102. (Keynote #4) Revise the security gate to comply with CBC 1010.3.4. The Side-swing security gate is not permitted in CBC 1010.3.4.In Groups B, F, M and S, horizontal sliding or vertical security grilles are permitted at the main exit and shall be openable from the inside without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort during periods that the space is occupied. The grilles shall remain secured in the full-open position during the period of occupancy by the general public. (1010.3.4).END OF COMMENTS
