All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 2corrected sets of plans.Meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. Please call (714) 647-5812 for an appointment.Please return marked up set of drawings with corrections.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100), Please see OCFA for high piled storage rack before resubmittal)
- Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceNote on the Floor Plan, type and quantity of the materialstored on the storage racks.Lower portions of posts exposed to damage by forklift trucks or other moving equipment shall have protective devices. If not so protected, at the option of the building official, the rack structure may: (1) be designed to maintain its full design load capacity at allowable stresses with the exposed post capacity reduced by one-half or (2) be designed to maintain its full design load capacity at 50 percent increased allowable stresses with the exposed post assumed to have no carrying capacity.Verify thickness of existing concrete slab on the drawings.On the drawing, “Provide minimum distance between the anchor bolts Center to any construction joints, control/expansion joints or slab cracks”.City of Santa Ana accept 500 psf bearing pressure for slab-on-grade vertical load design, please revise calculation accordingly. On the drawings, provide dimension of storage racks per calculation.Provide elevation and calculation for over door storage rack, at the exit door.
