This plan check is for building permit application for type A and type B walls. All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance: - Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039).Sheet S01-Sheet S03. Provide the professional engineer’s signature and date of signature on each sheet with an engineering stamp.On the cover sheet, provide a detailed description of the proposed scope of work on the plans to clearly identify all work included in this permit.On the cover sheet, add the following information on plan: Type of construction: V-B. Occupancy Group: U. Applicable Code: 2022 California Building Code.Provide sheet number on each sheet and match the sheet index description.On the cover sheet, delete or cross out any sheets listed in the sheet index that are not included in this submittal. Delete sheet #13-#20 and remove them from the package.Refer to Sheet S-01 for wall type B construction. CALTRANS Standard Plan sheets referenced as part of the design shall be provided. All referenced Standard Plan sheets must be included in the plan set, including Sheets B0-3, B15-3, B15-4, B15-5, and B15-9. Please note that the Building Division does not pre-approve CALTRANS Standard Plans. Use of these plans requires project-specific structural calculations demonstrating compliance with the 2022 California Building Code (CBC) and soils report recommendations. All plans and cover page of the calculations shall be stamped, signed, and dated by the Engineer of Record.Wall section B is part of the scope and requires building permit. Fully design and details must be provided on plan.For type A wall, the maximum freestanding wall on top of the stem wall is 16 feet (per detail on sheet S-03). However, the structural calculation only design up to 14 feet. Please revise calculation to decide per most critical condition and review current detail on plan.Provided design for average wall height is not accepted.END OF COMMENTS
