<br />in Recommended Action # 3; <br /> <br /> <br />B.Reallocate and award different amounts to the organizations recommended <br />by the Community Redevelopment and Housing Commission in the <br />Recommended Action # 3, up to the maximum total of $872,543. <br /> <br /> <br />C.Award funds to other nonprofit organization(s) from Exhibit 2 and reduce <br />the award amounts and/or eliminate nonprofit organization(s) to ensure <br />maximum total of all public service awards do not exceed $872,543. <br /> <br />D. Alternative actions as may be discussed. <br /> <br />3. Direct the City Attorney to finalize and authorize the City Manager and the <br />Clerk of the Council to execute memorandums of understanding with various <br />city departments and agreements with nonprofit organizations awarded funds as <br />part of the approved Community Development Block Grant Program for term <br />beginning July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019, subject to funding non-substantive <br />changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney (AGMT. No. 2018- <br />XXX). <br /> <br />City Department Award <br />1. Community Development Agency - Administration of the CDBG <br />Program. Proposed funding amount calculated based off 20% admin cap less <br />Fair Housing amount. Funds are also used to make award grants of up to $ 2,174,076 <br />$5,000 to eligible microenterprise businesses in the City. (No MOU <br />necessary.) <br />2. Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency - <br />$ 921,227 <br />Neighborhood park improvements. <br /> <br />3.Public Works Agency - Residential street improvements. $ 921,228 <br />4. Planning and Building Agency - To address property maintenance and <br />life safety violations which contribute to the visual blight and general decline of $ 865,644 <br />an area. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Fair Housing Organization Award <br />5. Orange County Fair Housing Council Inc. – Provides fair housing <br />education, landlord tenant counseling and enforcement services to combat <br />housing discrimination and city administrative support for the residents of the $ 62,241 <br />City of Santa Ana. A commitment to further fair housing is a requirement of <br />CDBG funding. <br /> <br />Public Service Organizations Award <br /> <br />6.Delhi Center – Teens Engaged in Learning and Leadership Program $ 66,654 <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA 14 MAY 15, 2018 <br /> <br /> <br />
