NS-XXX <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING SECTION 2-372 <br />OF ARTICLE IV, DIVISION 2.5, OF CHAPTER 2 OF <br />THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING <br />A CHANGE IN THE FREQUENCY OF MEETINGS <br />OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, <br />determines and declares as follows: <br />A. The City’s various boards and commissions have established dates <br />and times for regular meetings. <br />B. The Historic Resources Commission updated its bylaws to establish <br />quarterly meetings to be held in January, April, July and October. <br />C. The Santa Ana Municipal Code section pertaining to the meetings of <br />the Historic Resources Commission requires amendment to align with the bylaws. <br />Section 2. Section 2-372 of Article IV, Division 2.5, of Chapter 2 of the <br />Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Sec. 2-372. - Meetings. <br />The historic resources commission shall hold at least one (1) regular meeting <br />each month meet quarterly at dates and times specifically set out and <br />established in the rules of the commission. <br />Section 3. Adoption of this Ordinance is exempt pursuant to general rule <br />that the California Environmental Quality Act applies only to projects that have the <br />potential for causing a significant effect on the environment in accordance with <br />Section 15061 (b) (3) of the Guidelines. Approval of this Ordinance amending the <br />frequency of meetings held by the Historic Resources Commission will not have a <br />significant effect on the environment because the action will not result in or lead to a <br />physical change. <br />Section 4. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of <br />this ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision <br />of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of <br />C-2 <br />EXHIBIT 1
