HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION MINUTES 8 APRIL 26, 2018 <br />o Senior Planner McCann reported that staff is working with applicants to not <br />place solar panels on the primary elevation; staff is working to obtain additional <br />information on landscaping guidelines that can be shared with applicants in the <br />near future. <br /> Reminded everyone about the Floral Park Home Tour on Saturday, April 28 and <br />Sunday, April 29 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Vice Chair Schaeffer: <br /> Thanked applicants and staff. <br /> Reminded everyone about the West Floral Park Garden Tour on Saturday, May 12. <br /> Inquired about the number of applications received since the application fee has <br />increased. <br />o Principal Planner Carvajal reported that two applications have been received. <br /> The McFadden House on Greenleaf Street has overgrown landscape; would like code <br />enforcement to visit the site. <br /> Disappointed that the 2525 N. Main Street Resolution was pulled from the Agenda. <br /> <br />Chair Christy <br /> Encouraged fellow Commissioners to write to their councilmember in regards to the <br />application fees. <br /> Provided information on the Quonset Huts located in the city. <br />o Principal Planner Carvajal indicated the Huts will be included in the citywide <br />survey; they have potential for categorization. <br /> Spoke about the Pomeroy house; it is a landmark structure; has received Planning <br />approval for a remodel. <br />o Principal Planner Carvajal indicated that several Commissioners had inquired <br />about this property and staff has already responded to them. <br />o Case Planner Soto also provided update on the permit process. <br /> Reminded everyone that the National Association of Letter Carriers food drive is on <br />May 12.
