SWITZER, APPLICANT {STRATEGIC PLAN NOS. 5, 2; 5, 3} – Pedro <br />Gomez, Case Planner <br /> <br />Legal notice published in the Orange County Reporter on March 12, 2018 and notices <br />mailed March 12, 2018. <br /> <br />Case Planner Gomez provided a presentation which included the history of the property, <br />project description and overview of the architectural style. Discussion ensued regarding <br />the window on the front facade and notable resident, Jennie Lasby Tessmann. The <br />applicant spoke in support of the matter. <br /> <br />Chairperson Christy opened the Public Hearing. The following spoke on the matter: <br /> <br /> Dylan Almendral, representing the Santa Ana Public Library, spoke in support. <br /> <br />There were no other speakers and the hearing was closed. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />1. Adopt a resolution approving Historic Resources Commission Application No. <br />2017-39 and approving Historic Register Categorization No. 2017-38 with the <br />recommendation that the applicant restore the northeast window on the front <br />façade to its original condition if deemed not original to the property. <br /> <br />2. Recommend that the City Council authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the <br />Council to execute a Historic Property Preservation Agreement No. 2017-43 with <br />Christine L. Switzer, subject to non-substantive changes approved by the City <br />Manager and City Attorney.
