NS-2948 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 2018-02 REZONING NINETEEN <br />(19) PROPERTIES LOCATED ON BERKELEY STREET, OCCIDENTAL STREET AND ST. <br />ANDREW PLACE FROM RESIDENTIAL TO OPEN SPACE FOR THE MATER DEI HIGH <br />SCHOOL PARKING STRUCTURE AND SCHOOL EXPANSION PROJECT <br />In summary, approval of the amendment application will make the zoning of the recently acquired <br />properties consistent with the zoning designation of the existing campus. Further, the properties <br />will also become consistent with the General Plan land use designation for the high school. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #5 - Community Health, Livability, <br />Engagement & Sustainability, Objective #1 (Establish a comprehensive community engagement <br />initiative to expand access to information and create opportunities for stakeholders to play an <br />active role in discussing public policy and setting priorities). <br />11 C-1 <br />
