Huizar <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CA. <br />The City of Santa Ana encourages the public to participate in the decision-making <br />process. The following notice is being provided so that you can ask questions, <br />make comments and stay informed about projects that might be important to you. <br />We encourage you to contact us prior to the Public Hearing if you have any <br />questions. <br />NOTICE IS HERESY GIVEN - The City Council of the City of Santa Ana will hold a <br />public hearing to consider updating Solar Streamlining Ordinance for Solar Energy <br />Systems in order to comply with California Assembly Bill 1414. Compliance with <br />AB1414 will include: revising the definition of "solar energy system" to specify that a <br />design feature additionally includes any photovoltaic device that is integrated into a <br />building, expanding to building components including, but not limited to, windows, <br />siding, and roofing shingles or tiles, establishing revised maximum permit fees for solar <br />energy systems, establishing maximum permit fees for thermal energy systems, <br />extending the applicability of the limits on solar energy system fees and extending the <br />repeal date to January 1, 2025. Compliance with AB1414 will reduce the current <br />Residential Rooftop Solar flat fee of $500 to $450. <br />Meeting Time and Date — This matter will be heard on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at <br />5:45 p.m. or immediately following the 5:00 p.m. Closed Session, in the City Council <br />Chamber, 22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California 92701.
