In conclusion, Mater Dei High School, in order to finalize Amendment #3 to the Development Agreement between the
City of Santa Ana and the Diocese of Orange for the purposes of the redevelopment of Mater Dei High School, is
requesting that the Santa Ana City Council vote to remove the requirement for Mater Dei High School to bear the
financial responsibility for the signalization & intersection upgrades at Bristol and St. Andrew as well as the paving
upgrades on St. Andrew between St. Andrew and Baker. Mater Dei High School will be responsible for the Demo,
Grading and Curb & Gutter for the public alley way on the back side of the proposed MD Parking Structure.
I would also remind you all that Mater Dei High School has had a tremendously positive impact on the lives of thousands
of Santa Ana resident students who have attended and graduated from MDHS since its opening of MDHS on the corner
of Bristol and Edinger in Santa Ana in 1950. In addition, through our Mater Dei Campus Ministry Outreach Program, tens
of thousands of Santa Ana residents have been positively impacted through the hundreds of thousands of community
service hours which Mater Dei High School students have volunteered in the City of Santa Ana over the past decade.
Thank you for your time and attention to my response to the attached letter from the SAUSD and for your attention to
my request pertaining to the offsite city improvements associated with the Bristol Street Widening Project.
Patrick Murphy
President
Mater Dei High School
On 6/4/18, 6:33 PM, "Murphy, Patrick' <pmurphy@materdei.org> wrote:
