(5) Assistant city manager; <br />(6) Deputy city manager for development services; <br />(7) Special assistant to the city manager; <br />(8) Police chief; <br />(9) Executive director of finance and management services; <br />(10)Executive director of public works; <br />(11)Executive director of parks, recreation and community services; <br />(12)Executive director of human resources; <br />(13)Executive director of community development; <br />(14)Executive director of planning and building safety. <br />Sec. 2-300.7. - Executive director of human resources <br />All references in the charter or this Code, or in any resolution, agreement, <br />regulation, authorization or directive of the city council, the city manager, or any board <br />or commission of the City of Santa Ana, or any document whatsoever, to the executive <br />director of personnel services or director of personnel shall be deemed references to <br />the executive director of human resources. <br />Section 3. The Santa Ana City Council hereby amends sections 9-2 through 9- <br />2.5, 9-4, 9-8, through 9-9, 9-11 through 9-12, 9-15, 9-32, 9-38, through 9-40, 9-42 <br />through 9-43, 9-46, 9-61 through 9-62, 9-66 through 9-67-69, 9-71, 9-92 through 9-93, <br />9-112, 9-115, 9-118, 9-142 through 9-143, and 9-166 of Chapter 9 of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code as follows: <br />ARTICLE I.- IN GENERAL <br />Sec. 9-2. - Definitions. <br />The following terms, whenever used in these rules and regulations, shall be <br />construed as follows: <br />Assembled examination: A test conducted at a specified time and place at which <br />applicants are required to appear for competitive examination under the supervision of <br />an examiner. <br />Board: The personnel board appointed in accordance with sections 911 and 912 of <br />the charter. <br />Charter: The Charter of the city, ratified by the voters of the City November 4, 1952, <br />adopted by California Concurrent Resolution No. 10, in Assembly January 8, 1953, and <br />in Senate January 8, 1953, as amended. <br />Class or classification: A group of positions in the competitive service which are <br />substantially so similar as to require the same kind and amount of training and <br />experience for proper performance and to merit equal pay. <br />Ordinance No. NS -2946 <br />Page 2 of 15 <br />
