Primarily, the pro)eet Involves a Complete Street Design concept with <br />emphesiee to ensure safety, accessibility, and conveiilente.af all transportetlon users—pedestrdans, <br />bicyclists, transit riders, and motorists are considered. Mlle One Street is a six -lane arterial (I Jones In each <br />direction) with a 1W wide median Island to design for a bike lane with W buffer to be added In the east -bound <br />direction. The addition of bicycle lanes will Improve bicycle connectivity and Increase bicycle travel an Mile <br />One Street and in the surrounding area. <br />To accommodate a blke.lane concept into the design the following bullets will be analyzed and will he <br />reported to the City's PM: <br />• Roadway retonfiguration (narrowing of lanes, new roadway.striping) <br />• Roadway resuwfating treatments (shinty seat, or to be detarrtiined pavement rehabilitation) <br />• Green bike lanes (typically near Intersectlons� or in otherwise high=conflict areas) <br />• Bike buffers, as space allows <br />• Bicycle Attivetieri (including enddificatlons to existing traffic signal hardware, new Inductive loops <br />and/or video detection for bicyclists and motorists) <br />• Modification of existing concrete median islands and curbs <br />• installation of related signage <br />• Modifications to.parlcing <br />25E-323 <br />
