FOR <br />L1Amended <br />E-]OOrdinance on Reading <br />LANDSCAPE SERVICES AT PACIFIC <br />El20 Ordinance on tl Reading <br />ELECTRIC PARK AND ROOSEVELT- <br />❑ Implementing Resolution <br />WALKER COMMUNITY CENTER <br />❑ Set Public Hearing For <br />{STRATEGIC PLAN NO. 6, 113} <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />CITY 4NAGER <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement with Mariposa <br />Landscape, Inc. to provide landscape maintenance services at Pacific Electric Park and <br />Roosevelt -Walker Community Center for an amount not to exceed $17,668, which includes a ten <br />percent contingency, for a term from July 1, 2018 through January 31, 2019, with two, one-year <br />renewal options for amounts not to exceed $32,601 and $34,644, respectively, which include a <br />ten percent contingency, for a total agreement amount of $84,913, subject to non -substantive <br />changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency (PRCSA) maintains the parks within the <br />City. On April 5, 2018, PRCSA issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the landscape <br />maintenance of Pacific Electric Park and Roosevelt -Walker Community Center. The Agency <br />received three proposals from interested companies. <br />An evaluation committee consisting of two representatives from PRCSA Park Maintenance and <br />one from PRCSA Civic Center Maintenance reviewed and rated the proposals. The proposals <br />were evaluated according to the criteria listed in the RFP, which includes firm/team experience, <br />relevant project experience, scope understanding, references and fee.
