the aforementioned CASA employees that are in an active status. This <br />formula shall apply to each year of eligible service credited with fhe <br />City of Santa Ana. <br />B. The City agrees to provide Miscellaneous employees covered by this <br />MOU who are appointed to their classification on or after January 1, <br />2013 and are not new members as defined by the California Public <br />Employees' Pension Reform Act of 2013 (AB340), with the 2.7% at 55 <br />Service Retirement benefit. Pursuant to CalPERS, this formula shall <br />apply only to the aforementioned CASA employees that are in an <br />active status. This formula shall apply to each year of eligible service <br />credited with the City of Santa Ana. <br />C. Payment toward the 2.7% at 55 Service Retirement Benefit. Employees <br />defined in Section 13,3.A (above) covered by this MOU contribute 8% <br />of their salary to the employer's share of the cost of the 2.7% at 55 <br />enhanced retirement formula, <br />All employee contributions to the employer's cost of the CalPERS <br />retirement benefits shall be implemented as cosf-sharing pursuant to <br />Government Code Section 20516(f). To the extent permitted by <br />CalPERS and the Internal Revenue Service, this 8% contribution shall be <br />implemented through payroll deductions on a pre-tax basis. <br />Employees defined in Section 13.3.13 (above) shall contribute 8% of <br />their salary toward the employer contribution of the 2.7% at 55 <br />retirement benefit. All employee contributions to CaIPERS for their <br />retirement benefits shall be implemented as cost-sharing pursuant to <br />Government Code Section 20516(f). <br />Pre -Taxable Benefit. To the extent permitted by CaIPERS and Internal <br />Revenue Service regulations, the City shall make the above employee <br />deductions pre-tax contributions. <br />13.4 2:0% at 62 Service Retirement Benefit for Miscellaneous Members. <br />A.
