City of Santa Ana <br />20 Civic Center Plaza <br />Santa Ana, California 92701 <br />MINUTES <br />Santa Ana Unified School District/ City of Santa Ana Council <br />Joint Policy Meeting <br />The meeting was called to order at 5:43 p.m, by City of Santa Ana (CITY) City Council Member Juan <br />CITY staff members present were: Raul Godinez 11, City Manager; Robert Cortez, Assistant City Manager; <br />Gerardo K4ouet,PR[GAExecutive Director; Jeannie Jurado,Community Services Manager; Ron Ono, <br />Administrative Services Manager; Enrique Marban, Community Services Supervisor; Jorge Garcia, <br />Assistant to the City Manager; Nabil Saba, PWA Water Resources Manager, Chris Dalton, CDA; and <br />Hiram Uhbe,Graphic Designer. <br />54USD Board Members present were: Valerie Amezcua, Board President and John Palacio, Board <br />member. <br />SAU5Dstaff members present were Dr. Stefanie Phillips, Superintendent ofSchools; Dr. Edmond <br />Heatley, Deputy Superintendent mfAdministrative Services; Mr. K8an 'Rmychmwdhuqy,AssistanL <br />Superintendent ofBusiness Services; Mr. Orin Williams, Assistant Superintendent ofFacilities and <br />Governmental Relations; Dr. A|6mnzVJimenez, Assistant Superintendent ofEducational Services - <br />Teaching andLearn|ngandAnastasiaSmith,ChiefofSchoo|PoUce. <br />Maria Gonzales indicated she was a representative of Friends of Santa Ana Unified School District <br />(SAUSD). Indicated education is for everyone. She provided the committee and staff a red scarf <br />indicating the red shows support mf SAUSDEducation. Indicated vvewill soon beopening Roosevelt <br />Community Center and wanted to know what we are doing to protect or children from the undesirable <br />elements. <br />
