The substantive changes listed below have been <br />incorporated into the recommended City of Santa Ana Investment Policy Statement for 2018-2019. <br />These changes in large part reflect new certification organization requirements mirroring the policy <br />consensus of the Association of Public Treasurers of the United States & Canada and the <br />California Municipal Treasurers Association. <br />The changes include, but are not limited to the following: <br />• Added section on Delegation of Authority <br />• Ethics and Conflicts of Interest — Addition of Statement of Economic Interest (Form <br />700) <br />• Re -introduction of Repurchase Agreements as an authorized investment type <br />• Added section on Suitability of Investments <br />• Added section on Investment Pools/Mutual Funds <br />• Added section on Maximum Maturities <br />• Added section on Performance Standards <br />• Added sections on Policy Considerations, Policy Review, Certification and Adoption <br />• Addition of Table of Contents with section and subsection numbering <br />• Addition of Glossaries (Glossary of Referenced Terms — City of Santa Ana Investment <br />Policy & Related California Code Terms, Glossary of Additional Common Public Local <br />Agency Investment Terms) <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item allows the City to meet Goal No. 4 City Financial Stability, Objective No. 1 <br />(Maintain a stable, efficient and transparent financial environment). <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br />Nkh Ift <br />Francisco Gutierrez <br />Executive Director <br />Finance & Management Services Agency <br />Exhibits: 1.
