The project consists of the occupancy of a <br />permitted use (public school) along with the construction of 4,940 square feet of new <br />building area. Environmental Review No. 2018-16 will be filed for this project. <br />Strategic Plan Alignment <br />Goal(s), Policy or <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #3 — Economic Development, <br />Policies <br />Objective #2 (create new opportunities for business/job growth and encourage private <br />development through new General Plan and Zoning policies). <br />Pub ioNotif!cation & community Outreach <br />A public notice was posted on the pr9ject site on June 14, 2018. <br />Notification by mail was mailed to all property owners and occupants within 500 feet of the <br />Required Measures <br />project site on June 14, 2018. <br />Newspaper postingwas published in the Orange County Reporter on June 14, 2018. <br />The Mabury Park Neighborhood Association was contacted to identify any areas of <br />concern due to the proposed project. At the time this report was printed, no issues of <br />Additional Measures <br />concern were raised regarding this application. Further, a Sunshine Ordinance meeting <br />was held on March 23, 2018, where approximately 25 members of the public attended and <br />provided input on the proposed project. <br />Conclusion <br />Based on the analysis provide within this report, staff recommends that the Planning Commission <br />recommend that the City Council adopt an ordinance approving Amendment Application No. <br />2018-5.
