Adopt an ordinance approving Amendment Application No. 2018-5 to rezone a property <br />from Single -Family Residence (R-1) to Arterial Commercial (C-5).1 and a property from <br />Single -Family Residence/B-parking suffix (RAB) and Arterial Commercial (C-5) to the <br />Arterial Commercial (C-5) zoning district; <br />2. Adopt a resolution approving Variance No. 2018-4 to allow a reduction in required street <br />setbacks; <br />3. Adopt a resolution approving Variance No. 2018-5 to allow a driveway within 150 of a <br />street Intersection; and <br />4. Adopt a resolution approving Variance No. 2018-6 to allow an increase in fence height in <br />the required landscape setback. <br />Executive Summary <br />Pacific West Communities, Inc., representing Ednovate Charter School, is requesting approval of <br />several entitlements to convert an existing office building into a public charter high school at <br />1440-1450 East Seventeenth Street. Specifically, the applicant is requesting approval of an <br />Amendment Application (zone change) to change the zoning designation of a section of the <br />property from Single Family Residential (R1)/Arterial Commercial (C5) and a property zoned <br />Single Family Residential/ -B Suffix (R1 -B) to Arterial Commercial (C5).
