With this new <br />assignment, he now oversees projects such as Mariposa County's rehabllltation/replacemant of five bridges <br />that Is currently In the preliminary engineering phase. <br />I Mr. Gordon's career Includes serving as a staff member of the Shasta County Department of Public Works, <br />Caltrans Division of Structures, and the City of Redding's Department of Public Works performing detailed <br />and complex design, construction management, and division management and supervision. Throughout his <br />career, Mr. Gordon's focus has been on the delivery of road and bridge projects and the various appurte- <br />nances associated with thorn. <br />Mr. Gordon has dealt with complex environmental compliance Issues Involving CEQA and NEPA as well as <br />developed considerable experience with resource agency permitting Issues. The experience and insight <br />gained from working directly with these agenoles have proven Invaluable In understanding and appreciating <br />the varying needs of the different types of agencies that Wilidan serves and developing the best solutions <br />for those needs. <br />Relevant Project Experience <br />Emerald Say Main Gate Safety Improvements, Emerald Bay Service District, Laguna Beach, Califor- <br />nia. Structural Engineering Task Leader responsible for responding to structural requests for Information <br />during construction and redesigning various structural elements to accommodate utility lines discovered <br />during construction. Performance of these responsibilities requires expertise and knowledge in various <br />structural building codes such as ACI, AASHTC, and CBC as well as construction practices and principles. <br />Wllldan provided civil and traffic engineering design and other appurtenant services for safety Improvements <br />at the main gate entrance, Improvements involved road widening, guardhouse relocation and roconstruc- <br />tion; grading to accommodate the roadway widening and landsoaping; Installing upgraded lighting, ADA- <br />! i compliant curbs and ramps, retaining and monument walls; widening the right -turn packet and Installing a <br />medlan; grid installing street striping and signage within Caltrans' right -o€ -way. <br />Lakewood Boulevard/Del Amo Boulevard Not Spot Intersection Improvement, City of Lakewood, <br />I, California.
